Golf Outing Game Rules & Penalties
Game Rules
Format of Play: Stroke play format; the participant with the lowest total strokes wins the round.
Tee Areas: Players must tee off from within the area marked by designated tee markers. Placing the ball outside these markers incurs a two-stroke penalty.
Play Ball as It Lies: Unless specifically allowed by event rules (e.g., due to adverse conditions), the ball must be played as it lies without adjusting its position.
Putting Green Etiquette: Always repair ball marks, avoid stepping on other players' putting lines, and gently replace flagsticks after use.
Maintain Pace of Play: Players should maintain pace with the group directly ahead to avoid delays. Consistent slow play can lead to warnings and stroke penalties.
Golf Equipment Compliance: Players must use equipment conforming to PGA standards. Non-conforming clubs or balls may result in penalties or disqualification.
Safety and Conduct: Maintain silence during swings, treat fellow players courteously, avoid unsafe activities like running or horseplay, and shout 'Fore!' if your ball is headed toward others.
Course Respect: Replace divots, repair ball marks, smooth bunkers after use, and adhere to course signage and designated pathways.
Weather Conditions: Stay aware of weather conditions, especially lightning, and immediately seek shelter when necessary.
Hydration and Health: Players are advised to stay hydrated, particularly in hot weather, to avoid heat-related issues.
Wildlife Respect: Do not disturb wildlife encountered on the course. Keep a respectful distance at all times.
First Aid Knowledge: Be aware of the location of first aid kits and know emergency procedures and contacts.
Cart Usage: Golf carts must be driven safely, staying on designated cart paths and observing course signs. Volunteers are prohibited from operating carts.
Children Policy: Children are not permitted on the course for safety reasons.
Proper Equipment Handling: Clubs and equipment should only be used for their intended golf purposes.
